During our conference, we will be hosting our Annual College fair and our University partners will be available to talk to you, explain the admissions process in the U.S. and tell you all about scholarships, fellowships, and much more!

Beyond that, you can participate in ESL Conversation Classes throughout the day and meet our teachers, who are certified and specialized in teaching English as a Second Language.

Meet our Guest Speakers


Michelle Fernandes is a Business Consultant and the Founder and Executive Director of Approach International Student Center. She has a vast background in entrepreneurship, international relations, educational accreditation and, business management. She’s a board member of various educational and non-governmental organizations.

Richard Oboto
Richard Aboboto is an Executive Coach and the founder of ‘Strategic Career Coaching’. Richard helps his clients to realize their fullest potential. He has spent the last 5 years learning everything there is to know about coaching and self-development - from meditation to human needs psychology. Prior to coaching, Richard was a Director of Marketing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a Vice President Equity Trader at Citigroup. From 1998 to 2008, he served as frontline combat pilot in the Royal Air Force.


Ghazal is the Chief Operations Officer and a DSO at Approach. Ghazal got her Master in Management and International Business and has helped several international students reach their goals. Originally from India, Ghazal started her journey into the U.S. as an international student herself and is passionate to make a difference in the life of international students. She is excited to share her expertise on the topic of H1B and Sponsorship processes.

Mike Grushin-1

Founder of Fearless+, a digital subscription platform that focuses on developing leadership and life skills for children between the ages of 13 to 18. Global Head of FinTech, Payments, Crypto, and Applied Intelligence at Korn Ferry. With over 20 years of diverse experience, his work includes executive search for strategic AI, Data, Advanced Analytics leaders across industry sectors, with particular expertise in private-equity-backed organizations and financial services firms. Mike provides executive assessment and coaching services of C-Suite leaders and team assessment and team coaching services for top teams. 


Daniela Afonso is a Brazilian native, living in Boston for many years. She’s the Chief Marketing Officer of Approach, as well as a seasoned realtor with over 15 years of Real Estate experience working with investors from different parts of the world. She has over 20 years of experience as a marketer in the U.S. and abroad, leading her to manage concurring leadership positions as well as becoming the founder and co-founder of multiple business ventures.

Dr. Laura Sicola, PhD-1

Dr. Laura Sicola is a leadership communication and influence expert, speaker, author of Speaking to Influence: Mastering Your Leadership Voiceand host of the podcast, Speaking to Influence: Communication Secrets of the C-Suite. As the founder of Vocal Impact Productions, she has trained and coached executives from around the world. Laura’s TEDx talk, Want to Sound Like a Leader? Start by Saying Your Name Right,” has over 6.5 million views, and she has been featured on programs such as Fox & Friends FirstNBC10 @Issue and PHL 17.

Attorney John Carleen
Attorney John C. Carleen has over 25 years of experience in the practice of law. He is admitted to the federal court, tax court, and Massachusetts courts. John’s law firm, Carleen & Associates, concentrates its practice in the areas of immigration, taxation, business, real estate, and estate planning. He is an associate member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a board member in various private companies. Attorney Carleen acts as a business advisor for small and medium-sized businesses and has helped many immigrants in legally establishing their companies and successfully planning and implementing tax strategies. On the immigration side, Attorney Carleen has a track record of approved Green card and investor visas cases alongside immigration litigation.

Patricia Belda-2
In 2008, Patricia Belda started on her own path of Family Constellation without any intention of becoming a “Family Constellator”. Eight years later, she found herself leading her first workshop. The search for personal improvement, transformation, and expansion of her horizons have always been a constant in her life. These desires led her down this path. She has immersed herself in Family Constellations for many years, doing both national and international training. In 2016, she conducted her first group in Brazil followed by another in the USA. To this day, Patricia Belda follows her vocation as a Family Constellation Facilitator - a new profession that promotes the process of personal growth, for herself and others, through group experiences based on respect, acceptance, discretion, sensitivity, rigor, and purposefulness.

Alex is the co-founder and CEO of Synapse. After graduating from the engineering school Telecom SudParis, Alex led AIESEC in France, the French branch of the world's largest student-run NGO, and then joined PwC, as an international Business Manager and coach. Alex started his entrepreneurial journey as a trainer, speaker, and coach and impacted with his programs and conferences above 30,000 people worldwide. Alex has visited 47 countries, lived on three continents, and speaks four languages. He won multiple prizes, including the Toastmaster award for best speaker in France in 2020.

Jonathan Bronson is originally from Vermont, but has spent much of his adult life traveling and teaching in Asia and South America. He has been with Approach for the last eight years, and has spent the last five as an Academic Coordinator.

Max Quiroz-1

Max has a PhD in Diagnosis, Measurement and Evaluation of Education by The Complutense University of Madrid and the Anahuac University of Mexico. As an instructional designer and trainer, Max has designed and delivered training programs, for both public and private; local, national, and international companies, since 1996. He is a trainer and evaluator for trainers and teachers since 2013 for Mexico and Latin America. With his wife, Max is the co-founder of Max and Ruth Training and has the mission to transform 1 million peoples’ lives through training. Max won the Monterrey TEC Speaker of the Year Award in 1995 for his participation during the 6-month program in Management Skills in Medellin, Colombia. Founding member of Monterrey TEC Virtual University.

Daniel J

Dan has been working in the education field for over 10 years, teaching adults, teens, and children. He has experience teaching abroad in Vietnam, and will be speaking about the ways to immerse yourself in new languages.

Patricia Bonilla
Patricia Bonilla is a successful Latina woman in a man dominated industry. She is the president of Lunacon Construction Group, a Florida Hispanic-Women Owned Organization, founded in 2007. She began her career as a Project Engineer then became a Project Manager. Before taking a leap of faith to start her own business, she was the Head of the Construction Management Division for the City of Fort Lauderdale and had acquired 17 years of experience working with multi million dollar projects while being a single mother. Lunacon construction, just like the common widely successful businesses, also started operating in her garage. Many thought she was making a mistake because it was against the odds as she formed her company at the depths of a national financial crisis. But she made the impossible, possible. Lunacon has completed 250 projects, now a $50 million company and serving Federal, municipal, and private clients.​

Julia Meteus

Julia is originally from Brazil and has been living in Boston for almost 10 years. She holds a Masters's in Global Studies and International Relations and has been working in different capacities at Approach for over 8 years now. She loves working with international students as she has been one in the past and understands what it takes for F1 students to take their next steps and succeed.

Ruth Ebergenyi

Ruth has a PhD in Educational Technology from Monterrey TEC in Mexico. As an instructional designer and trainer, Ruth has designed and delivered training programs, for both public and private; local, national, and international companies, since 1996. She is a trainer and evaluator for trainers and teachers since 2013 for Mexico and Latin America. With her husband, Ruth is the co-founder of Max and Ruth Training and has the mission to transform 1 million peoples’ lives through training.

Natassia Yahoub

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Natassia has a background in Linguistics from Smith College as well as German, Spanish, and Portuguese. She’ll be speaking on  Plagiarism, it’s consequences and maintaining academic integrity.


Codrin Nane Popa is a Romanian psychological profiler that specializes in behavior prediction. He is helping companies recruit individuals for key positions, and prepare for top-level negotiations.

Tammie Key

Tammie Key, M.Ed is the PDSO for Approach International student center she has over is 28 years of experience in International education. She is also adjunct faculty member in Behavioral science department at Bunker Hill Community College.

Anton Wisbiski

Anton has worked with some of the best and most well known spiritual leaders and studied them for over 10 years. He always wanted to know what was the “secret” to massive success, abundance and fulfillment. Over the course of his life, he’s dealt with his own depression and anxiety which took control for a long time. Until he discovered the “secret”... learning how to shift his personal energy. Over the course of 10 years, he found all the most successful people in the world have a process they use to shift their energy from a place of anxiety, stress, depression, and fear to gratitude and empowerment.
